staying hot

The high temperature yesterday in Chico was 94 degrees; so far today's high has been 95 degrees at the airport. Not the 100 degrees expected for today, but still hot. Tomorrow will continue to be hot, but a cooldown is expected by Wednesday. Highs by the end of the week will be in the mid 80s. That is much more tolerable. Low temps will also cool from the lower 60s tomorrow morning into the mid 50s by week's end. Also, tomorrow is the first day of October, which also kicks off Artoberfest, a month-long celebration of art of all forms in Chico. There is a link on my page to the Artoberfest website, showing all of the arts-related events happening this next month. Check it out. Here is Chico's seven day forecast from the National Weather Service: Tonight Clear, with a low around 59. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight. Monday Sunny and hot, with a high near 99. North wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the morning. Monday Night Clear, with a low around 60. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Tuesday Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Tuesday Night Clear, with a low around 59. Light east northeast wind. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 92. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Thursday Sunny, with a high near 89. Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55. Friday Sunny, with a high near 86. Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Sunday Partly sunny, with a high near 82.
