Wind Advisory for today
Lots of heat, high fire danger, and now strong winds. From the National Weather Service in Sacramento:
WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO
11 PM PDT THIS EVENING FOR THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SACRAMENTO
VALLEY...
* WINDS: NORTHWEST 15 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
* TIMING: WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS MORNING WITH THE STRONGEST WIND EXPECTED
IN THE AFTERNOON.
* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: CHICO...REDDING...MARYSVILLE
* IMPACTS: DIFFICULTY DRIVING AND BLOWING DEBRIS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 25 TO 39 MPH WITH GUSTS
BETWEEN 40 AND 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE
DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE
EXTRA CAUTION AND WATCH FOR BLOWING DEBRIS.
