showers for Monday?
There may be a chance of showers in the forecast for Monday as a cold front sweeps through our region. This cold front will also bring a brief reprieve from the heat. Yesterday's high in Chico was 95 degrees, and today should be a few degrees hotter (I was wrong about yesterday being the hottest day of the week- sorry!). This weekend looks warm, with tomorrow's high in the low 90s and Sunday's high dipping into the upper 80s. Monday through Wednesday look nice (other than the showers on Monday-personally I don't think it will happen), with temps in the 70s to around 80 degrees. Here is Chico's updated seven day forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 63. North northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. Southeast wind between 3 and 6 mph.
