This weather is frustrating me. We had spring in winter and now are having winter weather in spring. It's a head-scratcher, that's for sure. Today has been breezy but mild in Chico, with sunny periods followed by brief showers, and then back to sunny breaks. The high temperature in Chico today was 63 degrees, a good eight degrees below the average. Get ready for some wet and breezy weather beginning Saturday and lasting into Sunday. A potent weather system will move into Northern California late Friday night, bringing moderate to heavy precipitation into our area by early Saturday. Valley locations could see anywhere from a half an inch to an inch of rain, while the Sierra Nevada could see over six inches of snow above 5000 feet.
