MUCH WETTER WEATHER PATTERN DEVELOPING NEXT WEEK...
EXTENDED FORECASTS INDICATE A CHANGE TO A MUCH WETTER WEATHER
PATTERN DEVELOPING OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. MODEL CONFIDENCE AND
RELIABILITY ARE ABOVE NORMAL...CREATING A HIGH LEVEL OF OPTIMISM
FOR SEVERAL DAYS OF RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS INDICATE
THE POTENTIAL FOR 3 TO 6 INCHES OF LIQUID PRECIPITATION FROM
SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY OVER INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE
HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED FROM MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
THURSDAY.
SEVERAL FEET OF SNOW ARE LIKELY OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
SIERRA NEVADA. THE SNOW WILL MAINLY BE WETTER AND HEAVIER THAN
PREVIOUS STORMS THIS YEAR.
