But we still need some rain. The Sierra Nevada snowpack is only 51% of normal to this point in the wet season, which began July 1st. Chico is over 7 inches below average for rainfall to this date. It doesn't look as if any big storms are on the horizon, either. But, I'm sure people in the Midwest who are getting hammered with severe weather right now wish they could have our weather. It will be absolutely beautiful this weekend, with sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday. Highs both days will hover right around 70 degrees. There will be a slight chance of showers Tuesday and then again Thursday night into next Friday; otherwise, expect dry weather with temps at or slightly below average.
