Yesterday's high temperature in Chico reached 68 degrees, aided by the increasingly higher sun angle and gusty northwest (read: downsloping) winds. Even today the temperatures are hovering in the mid 60s. Some of the fruit and nut-bearing trees are beginning to bloom in Chico, including the almond and plum trees. This may not bode well as any freeze we get from here on out may damage or destroy the almond and other orchards. There's just a slight chance of rain for Monday night through Tuesday night; other than that, enjoy the spring weather in February! Here are the details for Chico from the National Weather Service:
