Wow! Temperatures around Chico currently are ranging between 73 degrees at the airport (on the north edge of town) to 77 degrees at the University Farm (on the south side of town). Although not in record territory, it is still very warm. It's amazing to have these temperature readings in February (our normal high temp is 63 degrees for today). Enjoy this sunny, warm weather while it lasts, because a big cooldown is coming. A Wind Advisory is still in effect for tomorrow, with northwesterly winds sustained at 20-25 mph and gusts to 40 mph. The strongest winds will be west of Chico, but Chico could still see some very breezy conditions. Temperatues will cool down into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees for this weekend, as a cold front brings down some much cooler air from Canada. Other than slight chances of rain Saturday and again Tuesday night/ Wednesday, expect dry and partly sunny conditions the next seven days.
