Yesterday and today in Chico have seen slightly above average temperatures (yesterday's high in Chico was 81 degrees; today's high so far is 83). However, the low humidity has made the temps very pleasant. We normally see the high temp this time of year right around 80 degrees, so we're not too much off the mark. Tomorrow's high should be even warmer than today, with mid to upper 80s forecast. By Saturday, expect temps to cool into the mid to upper 70s as the high pressure ridge responsible for this current warmth moves eastward. The jet stream will become more zonal in nature, giving us a more Pacific Ocean- influenced air mass (hence the cooler temps). The National Weather Service is hinting at a chance of showers for next Tuesday and Wednesday, but they're not too confident yet to put that chance into the seven day forecast. For now, expect warm and sunny weather the next 24 hours, followed by a slight cool down and continued nice weather for the weekend.
