It was a warm and beautiful weekend in Chico, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid 90s. That's fairly typical for early September. More of the same is on the way for this week. Sunny skies, warm to hot temperatures, and (hopefully) little to no smoke from the fires. I'll take it! On a more somber note, tragedy has struck the community of Chico as the body of Chico State student Brett Olson was found in the Sacramento River yesterday. Brett was tubing down the Sacramento River with a group of friends over Labor Day weekend and apparently drowned. Brett had been considered missing until authorities found his body. My thoughts go out to the family of Brett during this time of mourning. Here is Chico's forecast from the National Weather Service: Today Sunny, with a high near 91.
