Wind Advisory in effect
Chico has received 1.47" of rain from this slow-moving storm system. It has been gray all day, with off-and-on showers. Once this storm passes, strong winds will be gusty from the northwest. More from the National Weather Service:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 7 PM PST THURSDAY.
* WINDS: NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. THE STRONGER
WINDS WILL MAINLY IMPACT THE WEST AND NORTH SIDES OF THE
SACRAMENTO VALLEY.
* TIMING: STRONGEST WINDS EXPECTED DURING THE DAY THURSDAY. BREEZY
CONDITIONS POSSIBLE AGAIN FRIDAY.
* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: REDDING...RED BLUFF...WOODLAND
* IMPACTS: DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
UNSECURED OBJECTS MAY BLOW AROUND.
