earthquake felt in Chico

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which was in Greenville, California, was felt in Chico and surrounding areas around 9 pm this evening. I felt nothing within my sturdy home, but many of my Facebook friends are freaking out about it. Hopefully there are no injuries and only modest damage. Remember your earthquake safety tips: go outside, if possible, or stand inside a sturdy doorway. Ah, the joys of living in California!
