above average temps through this weekend

It is currently 82 degrees in Chico, continuing a warm streak of weather we have experienced the past five days. We should be around 78 degrees for the high in mid-October. Dry, sunny, and warm weather will be the rule through the early part of next week. By the middle of next week, temps should start to moderate ahead of a storm system that could potentially alter our weather pattern. Fingers crossed, but Northern California may finally get some much-needed rain by next Friday. Currently not all of the computer models are in agreement over this possibility, so the National Weather Service has put in their forecast for next Friday a "slight chance of rain."
