WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 AM PST
WEDNESDAY.
* TEMPERATURES: OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER TWENTIES
IN RURAL AREAS OF THE DELTA AND THE NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY
TO THE LOWER THIRTIES IN THE SACRAMENTO VALLEY. THE SACRAMENTO
METRO AREA WILL AGAIN EXPERIENCE NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
DURATIONS BELOW 30 DEGREES WILL LAST FOR 1 TO 4 HOURS FOR SOME
OF THE COLDER RURAL AREAS.
* TIMING: TEMPERATURES WILL WARM ABOVE FREEZING BETWEEN 8 AND 9
AM.
* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: REDDING...CHICO...MARYSVILLE...SACRAMENTO...
FAIRFIELD...STOCKTON...MODESTO
* IMPACTS: PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE MEASURES TO PROTECT FROST
SENSITIVE PLANTS. MAKE SURE PETS AND OTHER ANIMALS HAVE
SHELTER FROM THE COLD TEMPERATURES. OUTDOOR WATER PIPES
SHOULD BE WRAPPED... DRAINED...OR ALLOWED TO DRIP SLOWLY.

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
It's the same "stuck in a rut" weather pattern I've been talking about for the past several days. Expect clear, cold nights and sunny, mild days for the next week. Low temps will be around freezing (or slightly below), while daytime highs will range from the mid 50s to about 60 degrees. We could use some rain!
